Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University
Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University is one of the oldest and leading universities in Russia and is well known all over the world. In 2016 university celebrated its 110th anniversary.
We were the first university in Russia to establish a faculty which provided women with an opportunity to acquire a university degree. We were the first in the world to establish the first pediatric faculty in 1930 which served as a model for creation of such faculties in other universities all over the world. The world’s first faculty of biomedicine was opened in our University in 1964. Here medical investigators in medical spheres of Biochemistry, biophysics and cybernetics are trained. The faculty graduates work not only in Russia, but also in numerous countries of the world including countries of the European Union and The United States of America.
